Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne is gearing up for the busiest weekend of the summer season on the Upper Clyde with the Cowal Gathering taking place in Dunoon.

Caledonian MacBrayne support Royal National Mod in Largs and Oban

Key events at this year’s Royal National Mod in Largs and the 100th Mod in Oban in 2003 will be supported by ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne. The news was confirmed by the company, which has had close links with the Gaelic community since its foundation 151 years ago, in Largs, where this year’s Mod takes place from 11-19 October 2002.

Muirneag heads for Lewis

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed that the new ship to replace MV Hascosay on the Stornoway to Ullapool overnight freight service when Hascosay sets off to fulfil its role with NorthLink Ferries will be called MV Muirneag.

CalMac tackle fishing dangers at Gourock

Ferry operator CalMac is warning that dangers posed by people fishing on company property will not be allowed to continue and that police action could follow.
