CalMac confirm resumption of vehicular service - Gourock-Dunoon
22 July 2002

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne confirmed this afternoon (Sunday, July 20, 2002) that the Gourock to Dunoon service will resume vehicular services from the first sailing on Monday morning (0620 from Gourock).

The service has been restricted to "passenger only" while damage to the loading ramp at Gourock was repaired.

CalMac Public Affairs Manager Hugh Dan MacLennan said: "We would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused during the repairs. This turned out to be a major engineering operation and it has been concluded as swiftly as possible in the circumstances. The service will resume on Monday morning and from then on it will be back to normal. We are indebted to our customers for their patience and understanding."
