| Caledonian MacBrayne confirm adjustments to sailings | |
| 12 August 2003 Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed the
following adjustments to ferry sailings over the period of the next 24 hours to
allow repairs to be effected to MV Isle of Lewis. The Stornoway to Ullapool
ferry will be out of service for approximately 24 hours while the mechanical
fault she suffered while entering Loch Broom this morning at approximately 0920
is repaired.
Caledonian MacBrayne apologises to customers for the inconvenience and will endeavour to have the repairs completed as swiftly as possible. Please note the arrangements put in place to cover for the unavailability of
MV Isle of Lewis. Please be advised in particular that, while there may be some
changes in the vessels operating on routes, the timetables of all Oban-based
routes and the MV Clansman At 1410 today (Tuesday), MV Clansman will go to Ullapool to take up a (estimated) 2200 sailing to Stornoway. On Wednesday 13th MV Clansman will service the 0615 sailing from Stornoway and the return, 0930 from Ullapool and then the 1240 from Stornoway. Thereafter, she will proceed to Oban for the scheduled 0930 service to Colonsay on Thursday. MV Isle of MV 'Isle of Arran' will go to Oban to undertake today's scheduled 1530 sailing and Wednesday’s scheduled 0700 sailing to Coll and Tiree. She will remain in Oban on Wednesday after arrival at 1500. She is due to return to Kennacraig on Wednesday afternoon, circumstances permitting, and further details will be issued in due course. MV Hebrides The scheduled 1600 departure from Lochmaddy today (Tuesday) will go via Tarbert to uplift traffic from the cancelled 1400 ex Stornoway. MV Hebrides will then depart Tarbert at 1745 for Uig. She will then fulfill a delayed 1800 departure to Tarbert - estimated departure time 1930. MV Hebrides will be in position for the Wednesday scheduled 0730 ex Tarbert. MV 'Muirneag' The overnight freight service from Stornoway remains unaffected as per local arrangements. | |
