CalMac confirms disruption to Colintraive Service

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed that the service from Colintraive to Rhubodach is suspended until further notice for technical reasons.

 

The Company confirmed that a full underwater inspection of MV Loch Dunvegan is under way following an incident at Rhubodach slipway last night (Tuesday).

 

The ferry was grounded on the slipway at approximately 1845. There were three passengers and four cars on board, along with four crew. There were no injuries and no damage to vehicles.

 

CalMac has also confirmed that the relevant marine agencies such as Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) have been informed and a full internal investigation is being conducted.

 

Customers are advised to contact local offices before travelling and the Company is investigating alternative arrangements for a speedy resumption of the service.
