Ferry operator CalMac is launching a new tour from Fort William, in association with Gordon Grant Marine and Shiel Buses. From 16 July 2007, visitors will be able to enjoy a trip through the Morvern Peninsula and across to the Isle of Mull, before taking a boat trip to the remarkable islands of Staffa and Iona. The tour leaves Fort William Bus Station at 0850 Monday to Friday, returning at approximately 1950. Alternatively, this tour can be joined at the Corran Ferry at 0910, providing tickets have been purchased in advance from a CalMac Tourshop.The adult fare is £44, and children can take the tour for £22.

Commenting on the new tour, David Taylor, CalMac’s Fort William-based Regional Manager said: “Visitors to the Lochaber area will be able to enjoy the splendour of three of Scotland’s most wonderful islands direct from Fort William. This tour offers some of the most interesting destinations and stunning scenery in Scotland, and all at an excellent price. This is the first new Tour we have launched working with local operators since we opened the new Tourshop in Fort William a few weeks ago. We have been delighted with the number of people calling in at the new premises and we are now firmly established as a fixture on the tourist itinerary in Lochaber, linking up as we do with the Tourshops in Oban and Inverness. ”

The tour can be booked at any one of CalMac’s three Tourshops, in Inverness and Oban, as well as Fort William. Literature and details of all CalMac’s network products are available in all three Tourshops.
