CalMac confirms Board meeting details
20 January 2008

Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed that it has to defer discussion on two key aspects of its Stornoway to Ullapool service, pending consideration of the outcome of the study into the proposed RET pilot commissioned by the Scottish Government.

The next meeting of the RET stakeholders’ group is not due to take place until after the CalMac Board meets, and discussion of seven day sailings and the possibility of later sailings on Saturday nights has now been postponed.

After the meeting this month, the next CalMac Board meeting is scheduled to take place during March.

In the interim, CalMac will be making no further comment about the issues detailed.

Dhearbh Caledonian Mac a’ Bhriuthainn gun tàinig air a’ chompanaidh breithneachadh air dà cheist an co-cheangal ri aiseagan eadar Steòrnabhagh agus Ulapul a chur an dàrna taobh rè ùine, gus an tèid beachdachadh air an schema RET a tha an Riaghaltas a’ tomhas.

Cha tèid an ath choinneamh dhen bhuidhinn comhairleachaidh a tha a’ dèiligeadh ri rannsachadh son an schema a chumail gus am bi an ath choinneamh de Bhòrd ChalMac seachad, agus tha a’ chompanaidh a-nis air na còmhraidhean a bhathas a’ dol a  chumail aig a’ Bhòrd aig deireadh Faoilleach mu aisgean Sàbaid agus aiseagan nas anmaiche oidhche Shathairne a chur an dàrna taobh.

Tha dùil gum bi an ath choinneamh de Bhòrd ChalMac ann an dèidh sin sa Mhàrt.

San eadar-ama, cha bhi CalMac ag radh a’ chòrr mun chùis.
