| 20 January 2008 Ferry operator Caledonian MacBrayne has confirmed that it has to defer discussion on two key aspects of its Stornoway to Ullapool service, pending consideration of the outcome of the study into the proposed RET pilot commissioned by the Scottish Government. The next meeting of the RET stakeholders’ group is not due to take place until after the CalMac Board meets, and discussion of seven day sailings and the possibility of later sailings on Saturday nights has now been postponed. In the interim, CalMac will be making no further comment about the issues detailed.
