Diesel Driven Machinery
Vehicles fitted with diesel driven machinery, such as refrigerated vehicles, viviers, etc, travelling on services between Ullapool & Stornoway, Oban & Craignure and Ardrossan & Brodick or any route where closed car decks are in operation should be capable of running from a 415v 3-phase supply while on board the ship.
If vehicles are unable to run on such a supply their machinery must be switched off for the duration of the voyage. If this cannot be complied with, shipment will be refused.
Drivers/shippers of vehicles carrying live shellfish should be aware that the facility for water changing whilst on board the Company's vessels is a concession and not a right, which is allowed subject to certain conditions. Details are available at the relevant port office.
