Livestock Vehicles

Four tier floats will not be accepted for shipment on sailings between Ullapool & Stornoway, Oban & Craignure and Ardrossan & Brodick. All other vehicles must comply fully with the EC Regulations 1/2005 and any guidance notes relating to it, and must be accompanied by an attendant except where permitted by derogation. All livestock vehicles over 3.5 tonnes GVM must be fitted with lashing points on all routes.

Livestock shipments not complying with this order and the guidance notes relating to it, or presented during hot or inclement weather, may be refused. Livestock will not be carried if, in the judgement of the ship’s Master, they are likely to be caused injury or unnecessary suffering due to adverse weather or sea conditions likely to be encountered during the voyage.
