Rebate Scheme

On routes which are not part of the current RET pilot exercise being undertaken by the Scottish Government, CalMac Ferries Ltd currently operates a scheme under which rebates are granted to commercial vehicle operators for frequent use of CalMac Ferries Ltd’s ferry routes (the "Traders Rebate Scheme").

The rebate is calculated on the basis of a numeral which relates to the operator's annual estimated future turnover and proposed number of journeys. It is calculated on a route by route basis for all operators. The rebates are on a scale from 2.5% up to 15%. Moreover, qualifying commercial customers must agree to settle their account with CalMac Ferries by due dates in accordance with payment terms.
