Gigha: Getting there/around

Sometimes known as 'God's Island', Gigha is best known for the glorious gardens at Achamore.

Achamore Gardens are also known as “The Jewel in the Crown”.  The island boasts beautiful bays and sandy beaches, clear green seas, amazing views, lochs and hillsides and an abundance of wildlife and birdlife.    With the beauty and tranquillity of this island, no wonder the islanders bought it!

Gigha is a great location for a day trip or overnight stay.  There are few hotels however so booking would be essential.  The island is great for walkers and cyclists who can discover it all in just a few hours.
