Rathlin Island: Getting there/around
Rugged and tranquil, Rathlin is an ornithologist’s dream.
This small island, just off Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, has a large seabird colony inhabiting its shores; puffins, guillemots and razorbills to name but a few.
The passenger only service from Ballycastle to Rathlin Island (cars by a special permit only) means this is a quiet island. Walkers and cyclists can explore easily and bike hire is available on the island. The pace picks up with the thriving culture, and visitors can join in with ceilidhs and festivals. Rathlin has an intriguing history, be sure to find out more.
