Wemyss Bay – Rothesay Service Update 27 March 2008

CalMac regrets to advise customers that ongoing works at Argyll and Bute Council’s Rothesay pier are taking longer than previously advised.

Due to the requirement to extend the period where ships have to berth at Gourock overnight, services at the end of the day will be subject to the following disruption:

Monday – Friday: the 18:15 sailing from Rothesay will divert to Gourock, the 19:00 sailing from Wemyss Bay will consequently be cancelled. On these days the last sailings will be 19:00 from Rothesay and 19:45 from Wemyss Bay (On Fridays both the 19:45 sailing from Rothesay and the 20:40 sailing from Wemyss Bay are cancelled.)

Saturday & Sunday: the 19:00 sailing from Rothesay will divert to Gourock, the 19:45 sailing from Wemyss Bay will consequently be cancelled; on these days there will be a 19:45 sailing from Rothesay and a 20:40 sailing from Wemyss Bay.

Please be assured that CalMac is doing everything possible to minimise the impact of the disruption the overrun in the pier works in causing.

Customers will be kept informed as and when new information becomes available.

CalMac regrets any inconvenience caused by these temporary arrangements.
