Ticket Information and Refund PolicyValidity of ticketsConditions of issue of tickets: Any ticket issued by CalMac Ferries Limited, or any other body, company or person, upon whose property or premises the ticket may be available, is subject to the Conditions of Carriage published by CalMac Ferries Limited.
Please note, the precise dates on which tickets are valid. Restrictions may apply.
Single - Date for which issued. Return - The sum of the single fares which apply on travel dates. No restrictions on use. Valid for one month. Saver Single - Date for which issued (availability is limited on some services - see individual route timetables for details). Saver Return - The sum of the single fares which apply on travel dates. Valid for one month (availability is limited on some services - see individual route timetables for details). Saver 5 Day Return - Valid for 5 days/4 nights (availability is limited on some services - see individual route timetables for details). Partially used Saver 5 Day Return tickets are non-refundable. Saver 5 Day Return ticket return portions can be extended to full standard returns during validity period of the ticket by presenting the ticket to a port office. 5/6/10/30/50 Journey - Valid for one passenger or one nominated motorised vehicle. Strictly non-transferable (one change of vehicle registration is permitted during the validity period). Non-refundable. Multi journey tickets are only valid if attached to the header portion.
Customers should note in particular:
Defaced, damaged or destroyed tickets: Any ticket which has become illegible, mutilated or destroyed will not be eligible or valid for refund. Tickets must be kept away from water or heat sources to prevent damage. Receipts: Customers should note that receipts can be issued only at time of ticket purchase. Please note that all tickets must be issued purchased prior to boarding vessels. Lost ticketsCalMac will not replace lost, stolen or mislaid tickets. In such circumstances, customers must purchase replacement tickets. If the lost tickets are subsequently found and submitted to Customer Care at Gourock, then a full refund less an administrative charge (of £10) will be paid. Customers must be in possession of valid tickets at time of travel and must be prepared to produce them if required. RefundsConsideration will be given to all applications for refund in respect of unused tickets returned to Customer Care in Gourock. The following administration charges will apply:
Refunds on partially used tickets are calculated on the basis of the fare minus the number of journeys taken, charged at the full single fare. Refunds on 8 or 15 day Island Rover tickets will not be considered if received after the commencement of their validity. Please note that refunds will not be considered for 5/6/10/30/50 Journey tickets, group tickets or other reduced-rate tickets which may be available. Tax exempt vehiclesTax exempt vehicles A discount is available for road tax exempt vehicles. In order to ensure you receive the discount you are entitled to, you must have the required documentation with you at time of travel. If you are travelling by car or motorhome You can receive a discount off the normal single fare for a single journey on presentation of the blue card, bearing the name and photograph of the card holder and the vehicle tax disc. Documentation required When making your reservation, copies of your tax exempt disc and blue card will be required in order for tickets to be issued. Supporting documentation (the blue card bearing the name and photograph of the card holder) must be carried at time of travel and be presented when requested. Failure to produce the documentation will result in the full fare being charged. If you do not have a blue card, this can be obtained from your local authority by submitting your Motability Agreement or Certificate of Entitlement issued by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). Alternatively, you can request a form DBD 384 from the DWP. NB - The blue card holder must travel with the vehicle. |
