The magical Isle of Jura is famous for its deer, its whisky, its wilderness and its warm hospitality, and the Jura Hotel is the perfect base from which to explore the island.
About the Jura Hotel
In a sheltered setting in the village of Craighouse, the Jura Hotel has breathtaking views across the water and is metres from the world-famous Jura Distillery. This family-run hotel captures the mood of the island with its relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There are two lounges for guests' use, free wifi for hotel residents, a reasonably priced restaurant and a lively bar - island's only pub - serving good quality meals and heavenly cake. The hotel has seventeen recently renovated bedrooms, most with beautiful sea views and modern ensuite facilities.
For many visitors the sense of peace and freedom found on Jura are second to none. This, along with the comfort and homeliness of the hotel, the friendliness of our staff and the warmth of the local community, draws many of our guests back to the island year after year.
Jura is the place to get away from it all, to enjoy the outdoors, the beautiful scenery, the wildlife-spotting and laid-back island life with little - but fantastic - company. Getting here is hard enough to keep the island almost a secret, but accessible enough for those who discover it to make them come back time and time again.
