Castle House Museum, Dunoon

A lot of local history - from hill forts to nuclear submarines

Built almost entirely from items and articles donated by the local community, Castle House Museum in Dunoon tells the story of Cowal. From a Neolithic pot from 5,000BC to the American nuclear submarines that moored in Holy Loch, the museum is an excellent place to explore the peninsula's history.
