Lochalsh Wildlife Watch Group
The Lochalsh Wildlife Watch group is run by National Trust for Scotland rangers based at Kintail and Balmacara, and is aimed at children between 7 and 12 year old. Younger children are welcome if they are accompanied by an adult. The club is affiliated to the Scottish Wildlife Trust and take part in national wildlife projects and surveys.

Have you got what it takes to survive in the wild? Come along for a session of bushcraft and shelter building. Join the National Trust for Scotland rangers to follow the trail, try out activities, basic fire lighting, basic cooking and to learn some new skills! Suitable for all ages but younger children must be accompanied by a responsible adult - Suggested donation is £2 per child.
Meet: Balmacara Estate, Kyle, IV40 8DN - 10am & 2pm.

Come along for fun activities and games at Lochalsh Woodland Park, next to Balmacara Square. Join the National Trust for Scotland rangers and members of the Wildlife Watch group to discover autumn. Find out how wildlife is getting ready for winter and experience some hazards faced by migrating birds and make homes for minibeasts! Enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows around an open fire. Suitable for all ages but younger children must be accompanied by a responsible adult - Suggested donation is £2 per child.
