For the keen birdwatcher this trip is an absolute must. The "Big Bird" trip allows up to four hours ashore on Lunga in the Treshnish Isles for those who want to spend as much time as possible with our unique bird life. Four hours is ample time to really relax and get the most of communing with the puffins and enjoy the sights and sounds of Harp Rock, the nearby stack that is home to many thousands of guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, shags, fulmars and even more puffins! Also recommended for photographers who want the most time possible with the birdlife. This trip also visits Staffa for half an hour to visit Fingal's Cave.

Caledonian MacBrayne ferry departs Oban for Craignure on the island of Mull. On route there is breath-taking scenery steeped in history, including a fantastic view of Duart Castle built in the 13th century.
Arrival at Craignure, Mull, where you will be greeted by Turus Mara staff, where your transfer to the Ulva ferry awaits, along with your onward travel Staffa and the Treshnish Isles on a Turus Mara vessel.
Depart Ulva Ferry via the South Side of the now Community owned Island of Ulva, passing Ben More, Mull's only Munro (mountain over three thousand feet). En route the historically important Isle of Inch Kenneth, associated with Iona in medieval times and more recently with the Mitford Family. The whole tour takes place within the Loch na Keal National Scenic Area and as we head further to sea there are great views of the Burg Peninsula and south to Iona and the Ross of Mull.
Land on the much celebrated island of Staffa. Marvel at the unique, awe inspiring, phenomenon that is Fingal's Cave. Imagine you can hear the first few bars of Mendelssohn's symphony in the eternal surge of the sea. You will have 30 minutes ashore before returning to the boat.
Land on the island of Lunga in the Treshnish Isles to commune with the many thousands of seabirds that make these islands the main bird breeding colony in the area. During the season from Easter to early August we make 'Puffin Therapy' our speciality on this unique wilderness island with unsurpassed access to these commune with these comical little birds Other species also choosing the Treshnish Isles for their summer home include guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars, terns and many others. Atlantic grey seals also breed here.
Return to boat where you will enjoy a cruise through the islands after the departure from the Treshnish Isles to look at seals and other wildlife.
Rejoin the Turus Mara bus at Ulva Ferry for the return journey to Craignure
Departure on Caledonian MacBrayne ferry from Craignure where food and drink will be available.
Arrival back to Oban.
