Rum Ranger walk with ponies

Rum Ranger Walk

Experience the history and heritage as well as abundant wildlife of Rum on a guided walking tour of the island accompanied by the Community Ranger. Rum is the largest of the group of islands that make up the archipelago of the Small Isles, with beautiful mountain and coastal scenery, rich wildlife and great walking. This relaxing 2 hour walk begins at the ferry pier and ends at the Village Hall where you can treat yourself to coffee and cake.

After your walk a great add on option is to include a visit and guided tour of quirky Kinloch Castle. It was the first Scottish residence to have electricity and had its own dam for hydro-generation. With its grand architecture and bespoke decoration, the castle is a highlight of the island. Guided tours begin at 2.00pm for approximately 45 minutes.

For lovers of
nature, walking, heritage.
