Arran Mountain Festival

arran mountain festival

A gathering of hillwalkers

The Arran Mountain Festival takes place over four days, with guided walks over Arran's most spectacular mountains. The walks range from easy to extreme: you can have a day watching wildlife, or set off with an expert guide for a serious scramble over the A'Chir mountain ridge. If walking's not enough, there's the Goatfell hill race - so you can run up Arran's biggest mountain.

There are social gatherings in the evenings, and you'll meet plenty of like-minded hillwalkers. You'll need some proper kit for this one - take good boots and walking trousers (not jeans - they're quite specific about that). All walks leave from the Arran Adventure cabin, in Brodick, which is a short walk, and an even shorter drive, from the ferry terminal.

Visit our Arran destination page for more information on how to get to Arran.
