Three Paps, seven summits, a lot of running
The Jura Fell Race is one of the toughest challenges in fell running. The route covers seven summits, including all three Paps - totalling 28km and 2370m of climbing. It's not for the faint-hearted, but the views are spectacular on a clear day.
Part of the fun of the race is getting to Jura in the first place - you get the ferry to Islay from Kennacraig on the Kintyre peninsula first, then hop over to Jura from Port Askaig. If the Paps have shrugged off the cloud, you should get a good view of the challenge to come.
For more on Islay and Jura visit our destination page. We will be operating an for this race.
