Coll Bird Festival

The Coll Bird Festival took place on 10, 11 and 12 May 2019. The festivals aim is to increase visitors to the Isle of Coll in a quieter period of the year and promote our unique bird and wildlife in order to increase visits to Coll. The festival benefited local accommodation providers, including our own bunkhouse, local shops, local eateries, and local boat trip providers and promotes the RSPB's work on Coll and Tiree.

Jane Metcalfe, Manager An Cridhe and Coll Bunkhouse: "Overall we provided 258 customer experiences through attendance at individual events. This shows a 5% increase over 2018 and represents a greater number of visitors, as 2019 saw less local participation.

"We are a small non-profit making charitable organisation, and really appreciate CalMac's support, without which, it would be difficult to engage experienced and knowledgeable speakers, guides and helpers who all give voluntarily of their time."
