Kennacraig Islay Amended Timetable - Port Askaig Closure, 18 to 20 April 2026

Islay services operating to Port Ellen only between 18 - 20 April 2026

Due to upgrade works, Port Askaig will temporarily close and services to Islay will operate to/from Port Ellen only from Saturday 18 to Monday 20 April. During this period, the below amended timetable will be in place. 

Transport between ports on Islay for foot passengers

If you are travelling as a foot passenger and require transport between Port Askaig and Port Ellen during the closure, you can request transport in a taxi by contacting our Port Ellen office. Space is limited and all requests must be made in advance of travel:

Port Askaig port opening hours

Our Port Askaig port office will remain open during the closure between the hours of: 08:00 - 12:00 and 13:00 - 17:00.

Impacted bookings 

Our booking system will temporarily close between 18 to 20 April while we make changes to the timetable in our system. We will be in touch with impacted customers and advise of changes to departure/arrival port and departure/arrival time. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
