Are customers affected by disruptions eligible for compensation?

Compensation is available on bookable routes when a booking/passenger ticket is held, and your sailing is cancelled or delayed due to a technical fault or 'certain' operational reasons resulting in a delayed arrival at the destination printed on your ticket.

Please visit our Passenger Rights section to find out what you may be entitled to.

Compensation is not available for weather-related disruptions or other disruptions over which we have no control.

Mallaig – Lochboisdale services until 17 May*

Customers can submit a claim to be refunded for any difference in cost of travel if they would ordinarily have travelled between Mallaig-Lochboisdale, but due to disruption, now need to make a new booking for an alternative route because their intended route (Mallaig-Lochboisdale) is currently unavailable due to cancellation of this service up to 17 May.  *Update 13 May - Services to Lochboisdale will resume from 13 May, check service status for full details.

To make your claim for the difference in price of travel – complete our Passenger Rights claim form within two months of your journey. This option will be available to those travelling up to 17 May, or a date prior to this, if the service is reinstated before this point.
