Spending her summers as the backup vessel in Largs, the MV Loch Riddon, Loch Raodain in Gaelic, was launched in 1986 as part of the second pair of 'loch class' vessels. She serves as a second vessel during the summer on the Largs - Cumbrae route and as a relief vessel during the winter.
