Each year, our winter timetables factor in our mandatory annual maintenance programme - a period of maintenance that each vessel must undergo in line with maritime legislation - and this year's programme sees the total number of planned overhaul days required across the fleet, increase from 728 days in 2025/26, to 732 days for 2026/27.
Our teams plan the annual maintenance period with as much detail as we can. It is based on our knowledge of the vessels, and we will monitor the progress of each very closely, and respond to any changes and delays accordingly.
We are currently working on the basis that our new vessel, MV Loch Indaal will enter service in the third quarter of 2026, and MV Lochmor will follow in the fourth quarter of 2026. Both MV Glen Rosa and MV Claymore are scheduled to enter service in the first quarter of 2027. These will be major additions to the fleet.
As always, timetables are planned only using vessels known to be in service to provide you with certainty. Once we are closer to a specific date for each of these vessels entering service, we will confirm service and deployment plans.
We will be in touch shortly with communities to commence consultation for summer 2027 timetables.
