For the nature enthusiasts...

Explore the beautiful, rugged coastlines of Lewis from the saddle with Traigh Mhor Pony Trekking . The small family-run business offers guided treks along the famous pristine Tràigh Mhòr sands. There will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture those special moments as you take in the spectacular views - and there's a high chance you'll spot some of the Hebridean wildlife  too!

Boat trips are the perfect way to discover the crystal-clear waters of the Outer Hebrides. Whether you're interested in a wildlife trip or a family trip, Seatrek  offers an unforgettable experience exploring the coastline, and some of the most beautiful, remote and unspoilt areas of the Outer Hebrides. Choose from a range of exhilarating short trips in purpose built Rigid Inflatable Boats or opt for a day cruise aboard 'Lochlann' (operates in summer season).

For the culture and history enthusiasts...

Discover the rich history of the proud Lewis people, from the Norse invasions to the strong Gaelic traditions that are still observed today.

Visit the Callanish Standing Stones  - the finest examples of Neolithic standing stones to be found anywhere in Scotland, dating back to over 5000 years ago. Towering almost 5 metres into the skies, the stones dominate the landscape, overlooking lochs and tiny islands.
