Important pre-booking information

Please read our pre-booking information below before purchasing your tickets online:

Mull Music Festival 25 April - 28 April. If you are heading to Mull for the music festival, make sure you book your tickets in advance to secure your place on your preferred sailing - even if you're a foot passenger.

Ticket validity - Turn Up and Go routes incl. 10 journey tickets - When making your purchase for Turn Up and Go routes - specifically single, return and journeys on 10 journey tickets, please keep in mind that these tickets are valid for the season in which you've purchased them. They cannot be amended and cannot be used outside the timetable period you have bought them in. They are also non-refundable. For 10 journey tickets specifically, select S24 (Summer 2024)10 journey tickets which are valid for use from 29 March - 20 October 2024.  

Bookings and advanced purchases for our summer timetable for the period 29 March to 20 October 2024 are available online, with the exception of sailings for Islay and Colonsay for 10-17 July while further amendments are still to be confirmed due to vessel deployment for Tiree Music Festival and infrastructure works at Port Askaig.

Travelling to Islay - When booking travel to/from Islay online, please select the port you plan to travel to/from - either Port Ellen or Port Askaig. If your booking is for a return journey, and you are selecting different Islay ports for each leg, please use the 'multi-Island' booking feature, shown when prompted to select the ticket type you'd like. This feature can be used to bundle multiple journeys across our network and will allow customers to make a return booking with travel through different Islay ports. 

Travelling to Arran - We have three route options for travel to Arran. You can travel from Ardrossan to BrodickTroon to Brodick or from Claonaig to Lochranza

Travelling in a group - If you're purchasing tickets online for a group or multiple travel companions, please note that the entire party must travel together. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you're not certain whether all members of your group will be travelling together, we recommend completing separate transactions online.

Turn Up and Go routes - travelling with your vehicle for only one leg of a return journey - If you're pre-purchasing return vehicle/passenger tickets for one of our 'Turn Up and Go' routes, but you only wish to travel with a vehicle for one leg of your journey, please complete separate transactions online for your outward and return journeys.

Gallanach - Kerrera / Fionnphort - Iona / Mallaig - Small Isles - If you are planning to take a vehicle on any of these routes, you must have a permit to travel with your vehicle before purchasing your tickets.
