Survey Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter: CalMac Ferries Ltd, contactable at Ferry Terminal, Gourock, PA19 1QP.  

  2. Caledonian MacBrayne and CalMac are trading names of CalMac Ferries Ltd (CFL).These names are used under licence from Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL). The lion rampant device is used by CalMac Ferries Ltd with the permission of CMAL.

CalMac Ferries Ltd, with its registered address at the Ferry Terminal, Gourock, PA19 1QP, and with company number SC302282 (registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number Z9867027) is committed to protecting the privacy of the individuals whose personal data we process. Any personal data that is processed is in accordance with data protection law, including: 

    • the UK General Data Protection Regulation; 

    • the Data Protection Act 2018; and

  5. Employees (or their immediate family members) of CalMac Ferries Ltd, David MacBrayne Ltd or David MacBrayne HR (UK) Ltd (or any other company and/or agency connected with this prize draw) are not permitted to enter.

  6. By entering the prize draw, you agree to the terms and conditions and to be bound by the decisions of CalMac Ferries Ltd and to receive email notifications from CalMac Ferries Ltd in relation to the prize draw.

  7. The prize is an eGift card to the value of £100. The eGift card can be used at over 100 UK retailers and is valid as specified by the retailer.

  8. CalMac Ferries Ltd retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available.

  9. CalMac Ferries Ltd accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize that are not specifically and expressly included in the prize.

  10. The full name, county and country of the monthly prize winner will be available by sending a stamped addressed envelope, within one month of the notification date, to Rosalind Robertson, Insights Department, CalMac Ferries Ltd, Ferry Terminal, Gourock, PA19 1QP. Accordingly, please be aware that, in accordance with applicable laws governing prize draws, if you are a winner in this prize draw your full name, county and country of residence may be published and/or disclosed to the Advertising Standards Authority.

  11. The prize winner will be notified by email by CalMac Ferries Ltd within 30 days of the monthly prize draw.

  12. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  13. One winner will be selected at random each month from all the survey entries received that month.

  14. The prize winner must claim the prize within 14 days of email notification being sent.  If the prize is not claimed within the designated period, CalMac Ferries Ltd reserves the right to draw an alternative winner.

  15. Should the winner not be contactable at the email address provided, CalMac Ferries Ltd reserves the right to draw an alternative winner.

  16. The winner consents to their full name, county and country being published as the prize draw winner on CalMac Ferries Ltd's social media channels should CalMac Ferries Ltd choose to publish it, without receiving additional compensation.

  17. Once the monthly prize has been awarded and claimed contact details for all other entrants, except the winner, will be deleted. Winner's details will held by CalMac in line with CalMac's Record Retention Policy.

  18. Prize draw entries can only be submitted by completing the online survey.

  19. No entry fee or purchase is necessary to take part in the prize draw.

  20. Only one entry per email address per month.

  21. The monthly prize draw closes at 23:59 on the last day of each month.

  22. CalMac Ferries Ltd accepts no responsibility for data corruption which may result in failed entries.

  23. CalMac Ferries Ltd's decision on the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  24. CalMac Ferries Ltd reserves the right to withdraw the survey and/or the prize draw without notice.

  25. CalMac Ferries Ltd reserves the right to cancel the prize should CalMac Ferries Ltd reasonably suspect that you have not complied with the rules of the prize draw or have committed fraud.

  26. CalMac Ferries Ltd makes no representation or warranty in relation to the prize, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, CalMac Ferries Ltd shall have no liability to you in relation to the prize, its fitness for purpose, merchantability or otherwise.

  27. To the extent permitted by applicable law CalMac Ferries Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, death, costs, expense, or disappointment (whether is contract, delict/tort or otherwise) incurred or suffered by you or any third parties arising out of or in connection with the associated prize draw and/or from accepting the prize. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  28. The prize drawn terms and conditions are governed by Scottish Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
