Harris is famous for its postcard-perfect sands and you'll see why today. Must-visit beaches:

  • Luskentyre Beach – Often named one of the best in the world. Vast, sweeping sands with teal water and mountain views.
  • Horgabost Beach – Peaceful, great for a mid-afternoon snack or sunbathe.
  • Scarista Beach – A little wilder and more remote, with dramatic dune views.

Pro tip: Pack a picnic! There are limited shops on the road, so stocking up in Stornoway or Tarbert beforehand is smart.

Evening: Park Up at Urgha Aire, Near Tarbert

After a laid-back beach afternoon, take the scenic drive toward Tarbert, the ferry port town. Park up for the night at Urgha Aire, a peaceful and informal campervan site just 5 minutes from the terminal.
