Ardrossan - Brodick

Read the following information on the summer timetable for this route up to 19 October 2025

Due to delays to annual overhaul and vessel availability we have had to make several deployment changes across our network, including changes to vessels and services on this route. Read our latest customer update on Arran services.

25 July - 7 September – Due to ongoing investigations with MV Caledonian Isles, there is no scheduled service to Arran operating between Ardrossan-Brodick during this period. MV Glen Sannox and MV Alfred will operate Troon-Brodick until Sunday 7 September. View Troon-Brodick timetable information.

15 September - 12 October- Due to ongoing investigations with MV Caledonian Isles, there is no scheduled service to Arran operating between Ardrossan-Brodick during this period. MV Glen Sannox and MV Alfred will operate Troon-Brodick until Sunday 12 October. View Troon-Brodick timetable information

There is also an alternative route to Arran between Claonaig – Lochranza from 28 March 2025.

Troon-Brodick Shuttle Bus Service

Car Park Shuttle Bus - A shuttle bus will operate between the Troon terminal building and the Troon car park. Bus departs car park every 15 minutes and then every 15 minutes from terminal building.

Train Station - Troon Ferry Terminal Shuttle Bus - View information on our shuttle bus service between Troon train station and Troon ferry terminal for foot passengers travelling on sailings to/from Troon-Brodick.

Ardrossan - Troon Shuttle Bus - View information on our shuttle bus service operating between Ardrossan port and Troon port for foot passengers travelling on MV Glen Sannox sailings.

Tickets Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. All vehicles and passengers must have a valid ticket prior to travel.

Check-in 30 minutes for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers prior to departure. Late check in may result in space being reallocated or vehicles being refused carriage.

Winter timetable 20 October 2025 - 26 March 2026 The Caledonian MacBrayne winter timetable is now finished for the 2024/25 season. The next winter timetables will run from 20 October 2025 through to 26 March 2026. We will update customers via our website on publication and release dates shortly.

Payment Information: we are currently unable to accept cash payments at Troon. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay.

Alternative route to/from Arran: there is an alternative route to Arran, travelling between Troon - Brodick, or Claonaig/Tarbert to Lochranza.

Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.

Group passengers: for tickets purchased online for any number of travelling companions the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to all legs of the journey. If you are unsure whether all group members will travel together, please make separate bookings.
