Customer Update - Storm Bram, expected weather disruption 8 December to 10 December

Storm Bram is expected to bring adverse weather conditions across the west coast of Scotland and the network from the evening of Monday 8 December through to Wednesday 10 December. Opens in new windowThe Met Office has issued an amber warning for wind.

Ferry services

With these conditions in mind, we wanted to give you early notice that some of our services may be affected when the storm passes through. This means some services may be delayed or cancelled in impacted areas to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues, which is our priority.  

Planning your travel   

We will keep customers updated with the latest information on our services via the service status pages of our website, our app and our X (formerly Twitter) page Opens in new window@CalMac_Updates.    

Please always check our service status pages before setting off on any journey.

Road conditions could also be affected in many areas, so consider building in extra time for your journey to ports and ferry terminals.

As circumstances and conditions can change at short notice, in addition to checking our service status pages which carry the latest information on each route, you can stay connected by:   

• Downloading our app and if you’ve not already done so, saving routes to the ‘my routes’ option.  

• signing up to our text subscription service for your route,
