Sensory bags

We have introduced sensory bags on each of our Clyde vessels. The bags will include the following items:

• Preparing for ferry travel book

• Binoculars 

• Ear defenders 

• Scottish widlife book 

• PNS Wellbeing toolkit book with fidget keyring

• Fidget cube 

• Stress ball

• Woody worm fidget toy

Our larger vessels will have two bags available during a crossing, with smaller vessels having one bag available.

On the following larger vessels, the sensory bags can be located at the retail shop counter. Please request this once onboard the vessel:

• MV Argyle (Wemyss Bay - Rothesay)

• MV Bute (Wemyss Bay - Rothesay)

• MV Caledonian Isles (Ardrossan - Brodick)

• MV Isle of Arran (Ardrossan -Brodick/Campbeltown)

On the following small vessels, the sensory bags can be located at XXXX where they will be secured with a padlock. The passcode to unlock the bag is 925. Please ensure all bags are securely padlocked when returned after use:

Sights and sounds

Here is some of the sights you may hear while on the ferry:

• Ear defenders may be useful

• Alarms may sound, indicating movement of the ramp

• Hear engine noises

• Feel the motion of the water

• Flashing lights

• Smells - mechanical, sea air, cooking

• Look out for interesting wildlife
