Annual overhaul plans 2025/26

This year's annual maintenance period has increased from 668 overhaul days in 2024-2025 to 768 days. This reflects the reality of the age profile of the fleet which means more time and more intensive maintenance is required to ensure vessels are ready for the year ahead. We have shared the plan for vessels in the tables below.  

Background to overhaul and maintenance period and plan  

Maintenance and overhaul of every vessel is essential to ensure all required works can be carried out to reduce risk of in-service breakdowns. We have planned the maintenance period with the maximum level of detail and consideration – based on our team’s knowledge of the vessels and we will continuously monitor the progress over the period. Like last year, several vessels will be subject to an extended annual maintenance period, to meet the requirements for a peak of scheduled maintenance and survey work, which is commensurate with the fleet age profile. 

Monitoring progress of maintenance  

Our teams have planned the annual maintenance period with as much detail and consideration as possible, based on their knowledge of the vessels - and we are closely monitoring the progress of each maintenance period. We will ensure that colleagues, customers and communities are kept up to date as soon as we're aware of any challenges or changes to service.

This year's plan has been created building on lessons learned from previous years and is the best outcome possible for the network. We have closely listened to community feedback and we’re utilising the most suitable and preferred vessels wherever possible.
