Service status & info

ARRAN:

Ardrossan (ARD) - Brodick (BRO)

One or more sailings are disrupted

Service updates

Saturday 8th May

Due to an improvement in weather conditions, service resumed at 15:20 departing from Ardrossan.

Service will remain liable to disruption for the remainder of the day

Thursday 29 April to Monday 17 May*

The Ardrossan to Brodick service will operate a single vessel timetable from 29 April until at least 17 May. View timetable here

(*This date is subject to change and we will continue to keep our customers updated throughout.)

While Ardrossan - Brodick remains a one-vessel service, sailings on the Lochranza – Claonaig route have increased, doubling in capacity, offering an alternative to accessing Arran or the mainland.

We have a protocol in place to support island residents travelling to the mainland for medical appointments at short notice. Guidance can be found here

The change to this service is in response to a major failure of the port engine with MV Loch Seaforth operating the Ullapool – Stornoway route. Specialist engineers working on the MV Loch Seaforth have advised that they expect her to back in service by 17 May at the earliest.

We know and understand the reduction of any service can be very challenging for our customers and the communities we serve, and we apologise for the inconvenience this will cause.
We’ll keep customers updated throughout. If you’ve not already done so, download our app or follow our Twitter @CalMac_Updates so we can provide you with timely updates, with the latest information we have available. Alternatively, you can also sign up to our service status text updates.
