Friday 25 October

Due to MV Lord of the Isles being deployed to Islay during a period of disruption, MV Loch Frisa operates a single vessel timetable as follows :

Depart Oban – 21:35
Depart Craignure – 20:00 and 22:55

Whilst we update our systems to reflect these changes some sailings may be unavailable. Those bookings affected by this change will be contacted by us in due course.

Saturday 26 October

Due to MV Lord of the Isles being deployed to Islay during a period of disruption, MV Loch Frisa operates a single vessel timetable as follows -

Depart Oban - 07:15, 10:10 & 13:00
Depart Craignure – 08:45, 11:35 & 14:20

MV Lord of the Isles will return to Oban on Saturday afternoon. Normal published timetable will then operate as follows -

Depart Oban – 15:50, 17:45, 19:35 & 21:50
Depart Craignure – 17:00, 19:15 & 21:10 

Saturday 26 October – Tuesday 5 November

Due to vessel deployment within the network as a result of MV Caledonian Isles entering dry dock on 23 October, we have had to review previously published plans.

MV Isle of Arran will now be deployed to the Arran service during this period. MV Lord of the Isles will operate to timetable alongside MV Loch Frisa on Oban-Craignure.

Supplementary information

Lochaline-Fishnish

We have an alternative crossing to/from Mull via our non-bookable Lochaline - Fishnish service. This route is a turn up and go service and will be operated on a first come first served basis. Customers should be aware their preferred sailing choice may not be guaranteed. Further information on travelling on the Lochaline-Fishnish service can be found on our FAQ's page.

Check-in is 30 minutes prior to departure for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers - otherwise space will be reallocated.

Late check-in may also lead to the vehicle being refused carriage.

Winter timetable

The winter timetable for this route, 21 October 2024 - 4 January 2025 is now open for bookings. Timetables for the period 5 January - 27 March 2025 will be available to view on our website on Thursday 17 October and customer bookings for this period will open on Tuesday 29 October at 12 noon. 

Livestock Transport Information
Please be aware:
Four tier floats are not permitted on enclosed vessels such as MV Isle of Mull. Four tier floats carrying only three tiers of light lambs are permitted on MV Isle of Mull sailings from Craignure to Oban. No more than five full size floats may be carried at any one time on MV Isle of Mull.

Turn Up and Go and Bookable route online purchases. If you have purchased tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, for use on any of our Turn Up and Go or Bookable routes, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.

Connecting Services - For customers using connecting services please note these services do not always guarantee a connection, particularly during times of disruption. We advise that you check both CalMac and connecting service websites prior to travel to ensure you can reach your end destination safely.
