Due to strong Easterly winds, the Ardrossan - Brodick service will be diverted to operate to /from Troon. Please see full details here.

MV Alfred sailings from Troon - Brodick remain unaffected.

Payment Information 

We are currently unable to accept cash payments at Troon. If you are purchasing tickets at Troon ticket office (subject to availability), please do so using a card or contactless payment method. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay.

Troon Port Information

The owners of Troon port, Associated British Ports, commenced car parking charges on Thursday 8 August 2024.

Please ensure you read our frequently asked questions on travel to/from Troon, including further details on car parking and other useful information about what to expect at the port.

Caledonian MacBrayne operates a shuttle bus service between Troon train station and Troon ferry terminal, to support foot passengers using the Troon-Brodick service. Shuttle Bus information can be found here

Until 19 October

Repairs to MV Caledonian Isles are continuing to progress. The vessel will return to service following the completion of successful repairs and sea trials. For the latest information, read our Customer Update.
MV Alfred will continue to operate Troon-Brodick up to and including Saturday 19 October.

Sailings are now open for bookings.

Scotrail will introduce a temporary timetable, this will impact various onward travel connections across the network. For further details please visit www.scotrail.co.uk prior to your journey.

Vehicle customers

Following ramp modifications, services operated by MV Alfred can now accommodate all types of vehicles, with the exception of motorhomes over 6 metres or any vehicle towing a caravan. If you are travelling in a motorhome, please make your booking via our Customer Engagement Centre or port of departure. Any customers with a motorhome wishing to travel on this route must be under 6 metres. Customers travelling in motorhomes over 6 metres or in a vehicle towing a caravan are advised to sail from Ardrossan instead. View Ardrossan - Brodick timetable.

Alternative routes to/from Arran - did you know there are two other options for travel to Arran? You can also travel from Ardrossan to Brodick or from Claonaig to Lochranza.

Retail Service

Please note that there is currently no retail offering onboard MV Alfred, so please factor this into your journey plans.  There are cold drinks/snacks and hot drinks vending machines in the Troon waiting area. Please note that the vending machines only accept card payment.

Turn Up and Go and Bookable route online purchases. If you have purchased tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, for use on any of our Turn Up and Go or Bookable routes, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.
