Supplementary information

Vehicle Customers

Services from Troon, operated by MV Alfred, will be able to carry all vehicles, except for coaches, caravans, motorhomes and low profile cars due to the vessel's ramp configurations. Some low profile cars may be unable to sail on MV Alfred and boarding is not guaranteed. Vehicle customers driving coaches and motorhomes or travelling with a caravan will instead be able to sail from Ardrossan.

Troon-Brodick Saturday & Sunday Timetable

Following a review, and to avoid potential delays caused by berthing clashes at Brodick on Saturdays & Sundays, we’ve made some slight changes to the Troon-Brodick timetable (operating 29 March-21 August inclusive).

These changes are effective from Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 April, and can be found on our timetable page. Our shuttle bus information and suggested train connections have also been updated.

If you have a booking which has been affected by this change, you will be contacted by us in due course.

Alternative routes to/from Arran - did you know there are two other options for travel to Arran? You can also travel from Ardrossan to Brodick or from Claonaig to Lochranza.

Retail Service

Please note that there is currently no retail offering onboard MV Alfred and Troon so please factor this into your journey plans.

Shuttle Bus Information

Caledonian MacBrayne will be providing a shuttle bus service between Troon train station and Troon ferry terminal, to support foot passengers using the Troon-Brodick service. Shuttle Bus information can be found here.
