Service updates

Friday 3rd May

Due to increased loading times, the 11:00 sailing from Craignure departed late at 11:35. Please note this may have a knock-on effect on later sailings. Passengers are advised to check in as normal.

Due to a technical issue with MV Coruisk’s bow visor, the vessel will be required to operate single-ended on the following sailings:

Depart Oban - 07:15, 09:45, 12:15, 15:50, 18:20
Depart Craignure - 08:30, 11:00, 13:35, 17:05, 19:35

Please note, service is liable to delay due to increased loading times.
Due to operating single-ended, any vehicles with trailers will be unable to travel on the above sailings.

Monday 15th April - Friday 10th May

Due to vessel deployments in order to support the annual overhaul programme, MV Coruisk and MV Loch Frisa will operate a two vessel service. Please see timetable here.

Foot Passenger Tickets

Monday 15th April - Friday 10th May

Due to limited passenger capacity, from 15th April until 10th May, foot passengers are advised to book tickets in advance.

Saturday 20th April – Thursday 9th May

In order to provide additional capacity to Mull, MV Isle of Mull will operate between Lochboisdale – Oban via Craignure on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Timetables for these days can be found here.

Saturday 18th May

Due to the volume of commercial traffic, the following additional sailings will operate: 

Depart Oban - 16:30
Arrive Craignure - 17:25
Depart Craignure - 17:50
Arrive Oban - 18:45

Supplementary information

Craignure Investigation Works

For approximately 5 weeks from Monday 22nd April, underwater ground investigation work, led by Argyll and Bute Council, will commence in the vicinity of Craignure. Ferry services are expected to operate as normal, however may be subject to delay or cancellation at short notice. 

24th May - 3rd June

We will be running additional sailings for visitors travelling to and from Islay's Fèis Ìle in May and June 2024, following consultation with local communities, and other routes will be temporarily impacted as a result. If you have a booking in place that is affected, we do apologise for this, and our port team will be in touch with you in date order to provide further information and support.

A82 CORRYCHURRACHAN, NIGHTTIME ROAD CLOSURES
Sunday 26th May to Friday 7th June

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A82 Corrychurrachan. Due to the nature of the works, it will be necessary to close the A82 trunk road in both directions each night from the evening of Sunday 26th May to the morning of Friday 7th June, a total of 10 Nights. No work will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday nights. The road will be closed each night between 20:00pm to 06:00am. Amnesty periods will be in place where work on site will be temporarily suspended and vehicles will then be escorted through site, which will operate at the following times: 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12am, 2am and 4am. The road closure will be removed out with working hours, however a 30mph speed limit and warning signs will remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary road surface. Access through the works site for emergency services will be always maintained.

Turn Up and Go and Bookable route online purchases. If you have purchased tickets online as a group or for any number of travel companions, for use on any of our Turn Up and Go or Bookable routes, the full party must travel on the same sailing. This applies to both legs of your journey. If you are unsure if all members of your group are travelling together, please complete separate transactions online.

Connecting Services - For customers using connecting services please note these services do not always guarantee a connection, particularly during times of disruption. We advise that you check both CalMac and connecting service websites prior to travel to ensure you can reach your end destination safely.
