Hebridean Whale Centre, Isle of Mull

Connecting people with our amazing marine wildlife

Discover the wonders of Scotland’s seas at the Hebridean Whale Centre, located on Tobermory’s colourful Main Street. Showcasing the inspiring conservation, research and education work of the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT), the Centre offers a welcoming and informative stop during your visit to the Isle of Mull.

Step inside to explore interactive exhibits, learn about the whales, dolphins and porpoises found in Hebridean waters, and enjoy short films in the dedicated screening room. Families love the hands-on children’s play area, while the gift shop at the front of the Centre offers unique marine-themed gifts, with every purchase supporting vital marine conservation work.

The Hebridean Whale Centre is also a hub for wildlife experiences. It hosts evening talks, guided walks and land-based whale-watching events, bringing together marine experts and visitors keen to learn more about Scotland’s incredible coastal wildlife.
