Lagg Distillery, Isle of Arran

Lagg Distillery opened its doors in 2019 to create the peated Lagg Single Malt and was awarded Scottish Distillery of the Year in 2023. The visitor experience offers tastings and tours around a range of themes from production to the rich history of illicit distilling on the island.  It also has a wonderful whisky shop where you can pour your own bottle straight from a cask. Light bites are available from their cafe, where dogs are also welcome on the outdoor terrace. You might prefer to relax upstairs in their comfortable whisky bar which has panoramic views out across the water to Ailsa Craig.  There you can indulge in a whisky and chocolate pairing or a platter full of delicious local produce alongside original Lagg Single Malt cocktails and whiskies by the dram. There is simply no better place on a sunny day!
