Laphroaig is one of the world's most distinctive single malts, with an unforgettable taste and drinking experience. This Islay whisky offers an iconically intense smokiness, a hint of salt and a surprising sweetness.
Laphroaig champions bold character, from the taste of its whisky to celebrating people who think differently and act with conviction. For over 200 years, Laphroaig has been protected by its makers, dedicated to preserving the spirit of this whisky and its island home.
Like many great stories, ours has its fair share of bold characters. It’s a tale of triumphs, nature, & people who make Laphroaig everything that it is. Want the real distillery experience? Drop in for a dram on one of our whisky tours and tasting experiences and enjoy Laphroaig for a day. Come, visit our shop, bar, beach, and bay, or browse our on-site museum. Our Distillery also houses the world’s biggest collection of our whiskies, including exclusives only found by visiting us on Islay.
The distillery welcomes visitors to be immersed in the spirit of the whisky and its rich history. Experiences include discovering more about the traditional processes and the people who crafted this iconic whisky through generations, to tasting a private collection of legacy bottles – some of its oldest and most exclusive drams.

During your visit, become a Friend of Laphroaig, and once you make your first purchase, you will be given an honorary lease on a plot of land at our Islay home, where you can collect your annual rent of a dram of Laphroaig, and receive early access to new whiskies and other Laphroaig must-haves, experiences, and rewards.
