Inspired by our Hebridean island home, Tobermory Distillery has been a beacon of craftsmanship on the island’s vibrant shores since 1798. Our home - framed by rugged landscapes, pure island waters and the iconic colourful harbour - is woven into everything we create.

For over two centuries, we’ve crafted small-batch single malts that capture the spirit of Mull, combining time-honoured methods with a quiet drive for innovation. The island shapes two distinct expressions: Tobermory, our unpeated single malt, rich, bright and fruity - echoing the lively energy of our harbour town - and Ledaig, our smoky, sweet and oily peated malt, deeply influenced by Mull’s dramatic coastline.

Every element of our process is rooted in place. The mineral-rich waters of the Gearr Abhainn brook, the maritime climate, the casks that mature our spirit, and the peat that defines Ledaig’s character all speak to the island’s impact on our craft.

Following thoughtful renovations between 2017 and 2019, our distillery now blends sustainability and tradition, ensuring we continue to handcraft authentic, characterful whisky. Today, Tobermory remains committed to producing some of Scotland’s finest single malts, from our signature expressions to rare, limited releases, each and every one is truly Inspired by Mull.
