Advice if you’re planning to travel and still book / purchase a ticket
Some of our network is experiencing significant disruption – with several of our vessels out of operation simultaneously. However, not all routes are affected. We’ve shared the current picture below detailing those routes we need to call out - where we know there will be challenges to make you aware of. For any other routes not mentioned in ‘route information’ section below, here’s our general information for travel this weekend.
The weather will present a challenge, with Storm Dave being named by the Opens in new windowMet Office. Check the service status for the route before you travel to understand the latest information on how it’s running.
Always book or advance purchase your ticket prior to travel
For bookable routes, you’ll be booking a specific sailing with a date and time.
On a Turn Up and Go route, you will be purchasing a ticket that can be used at any time during the summer season, but it is not for a specific time, instead it’s for the next available sailing. So please do check timetables and plan. Most routes will be busier than normal this weekend. Plan ahead as your first choice of sailing may not be available.
What to expect if you’re travelling on some of our routes this weekend
In the days leading up to the Easter break, we’ve experienced significant disruption. We still are. However, not all routes are affected. And our team is both focused and adept at managing disruption and supporting our customers at the same time. Deployment plans are in place to ensure services are supported across the network.
For these and other routes not mentioned, as always, please do check the service status for your route prior to travel – this always carries the latest information on the service, including any expected weather-related disruption, since we do expect some adverse weather this weekend.
At the time of writing (Thursday 2 April), Storm Dave has been forecast by the Opens in new windowMet Office across the network on Saturday and Sunday.
If you’ve not already booked and are thinking of travelling with us – we want to share a picture of what to expect on the network, which you’ll find below.
We’ll publish up to the minute information for each route via our service status pages – if there are changes or disruption to any service we’ll publish straight away on the website.
