Customer Update - Roadworks near Cumbrae slip

Roadworks are scheduled to take place on B896 (Cumbrae Ferry Terminal to Water Sports Centre), near the Cumbrae slip. Sailings to/from Cumbrae are not impacted, however, please use the information below to plan your journey to / from Cumbrae Ferry Terminal regarding entrance and exit to the slip – and factoring more time in for your journey.  

Times of road closure

  • 08:00 Monday 1 June to 17:00 Friday 5 June  

  • 08:00 Monday 8 June to 17:00 Friday 12 June 

Accessing Cumbrae ferry terminal during the closure 

During the closure, on arrival to Cumbrae, there is no left turn access to Millport town for vehicles, pedal bicycles and pedestrians.  

Drivers should be prepared to turn right at the top of the slipway when disembarking the vessel. 

Please approach the slipway with caution, follow port staff guidance and allow extra time for travel. 

Follow diversion signs and the guidance of our staff 

Travel time  

Please do factor the closure into your journey and allow extra time for arriving at Cumbrae.  

The local bus services will also follow the diversion, so do check with the bus service provider.
