Customer Update - Winter timetables 2026 and 2027

Updated 7 July 2026

We are pleased to let you know that our winter timetables for the majority of routes will be published from 4pm today, 7 July 2026. The winter timetable will run from 19 October 2026 until 25 March 2027.

Reservations and advance purchases of Turn Up and Go routes will open from 4 August 2026. We will keep customers updated on our communication channels on the timings when bookings will be open for winter timetables.

Where to find timetables

Timetables will be available to view/download on our timetable pages via the timetable tab.

Winter timetables won’t be available to view in the searchable timetable function within the app until they are open for bookings/advance purchase – instead, timetables can be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file until bookings/advance purchase of tickets are available.

Routes not yet available to view

We are finalising the winter 2026/27 timetables for the following routes, therefore these specific timetables won’t be available to view from 7 July. An update on a publication date will be provided prior to bookings opening on 4 August.

  • Ardmhor (Barra) – Eriskay

  • Oban - Lismore

  • Fionnphort – Iona

  • Lochaline – Fishnish

  • Sconser – Raasay

  • Largs – Cumbrae

  • Claonaig – Lochranza

  • Tarbert – Portavadie.

Annual overhaul

Each year, our winter timetables factor in our mandatory annual maintenance programme - a period of maintenance that each vessel must undergo in line with maritime legislation - and this year's programme sees the total number of planned overhaul days required across the fleet, increase from 728 days in 2025/26, to 732 days for 2026/27.

Our teams plan the annual maintenance period with as much detail as we can. It is based on our knowledge of the vessels, and we will monitor the progress of each very closely, and respond to any changes and delays accordingly.

New vessels

We are currently working on the basis that our new vessel, MV Loch Indaal will enter service in the third quarter of 2026, and MV Lochmor will follow in the fourth quarter of 2026. Both MV Glen Rosa and MV Claymore are scheduled to enter service in the first quarter of 2027.

These will be major additions to the fleet.

As always, timetables are planned only using vessels known to be in service to provide you with certainty. Once we are closer to a specific date for each of these vessels entering service, we will confirm service and deployment plans.

Summer 2027 service

We will be in touch shortly with communities to commence consultation for summer 2027 timetables.
