A83 TARBET TO ARROCHAR PHASE 2 – DRAINAGE & FOOTWAY IMPROVEMENTS
Beginning Monday 7th October 2019

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out the next phase of essential drainage and footway improvements on the A83 trunk road between Tarbet and Arrochar. The works will involve footway & carriageway widening along with upgrades to the existing drainage system over a 560m section. The works are programmed for construction Monday 7 th October 2019 and will be carried out between 7am-7pm each day with no works programmed for weekends. It is anticipated that the works will take up to 6 weeks to complete. During operations the road will remain open, however, to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the public it will be necessary for temporary traffic lights to be implemented. Operatives will ensure that vehicle and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained for the duration of the works. To accommodate the footway operations, it will be necessary to close sections of the footway for periods of time. As a footway diversion is not possible pedestrians will be asked to wait for an operative to assist them through the site.
