Islay: Kennacraig – Port Ellen/Port Askaig

Tickets: Book your ticket online, in advance of travel, even if you’re a foot passenger. All vehicles and passengers must have a valid ticket prior to travel.

Check-in: 30 minutes for vehicles and 10 minutes for foot passengers prior to departure. Late check in may result in space being reallocated or vehicles being refused carriage.

Summer timetable 2025: The summer timetable for 28 March 2025 to 19 October 2025 will be released in phases. Kennacraig - Islay will be available to view online today, Friday 6 December and bookings opening on Thursday 19 December at 08:00 and from 09:00 by phone and at our port offices.

Please note, timetables for Tiree Music Festival are still being finalised, therefore bookings for period 9 – 16 July 2025 will initially be unavailable for the following routes: Oban-Coll/Tiree, Oban – Craignure, Oban – Colonsay and Kennacraig – Islay. Making an online reservation for Islay: when booking travel to/from Islay online, please select the port you plan to travel to/from - either Port Ellen or Port Askaig. If you wish to use different ports for each leg of a return journey, please use the 'multi-island' booking feature when prompted to select ticket type. This feature can be used to bundle multiple journeys across our network.

Planning ahead:  Book your ticket online in advance of travel - even if you're a foot passenger. eTickets can be scanned from your device.  

Concessions: SPT Ferry Card, SPT Companion Ferry Card and Blue badge concessions are available online and can be applied to your ticket. Please carry your concession card with you.
