Islay: Kennacraig – Port Ellen/Port Askaig

Port Askaig port works from 27 April: Customers are advised of significant ongoing works at Port Askaig by SSEN to support vessel operations. When travelling to and from Port Askaig, you may experience delays, so please allow extra time for your journey. Marshalling lanes within the port and access from the main road will be impacted by the works and caution is advised when approaching the port.

Port Ellen closure from Tuesday 2 June: Port Ellen on Islay will close for upgrades and modernisation by CMAL. The site will be closed until 2029. During this time, our Islay service will operate between Kennacraig-Port Askaig. Read our guide to travelling to Islay during the Port Ellen closure.

The winter timetable is now finished for the 2025/26 season. The next winter timetables will run from 19 October 2026 - 25 March 2027. We will update customers via our website once we have a release date confirmed.
