Calanais Farmhouse & Callanish Visitor Centre, Isle of Lewis
The Farmhouse offers accommodation for 4 people and is comfortable and well equipped. A unique base at the foot of the famous Callanish Standing Stones. The visitor centre provides a range of facilities, including Cafe, Gift shop, Art gallery and exhibit about the Calanais Stones.
Nestling in the grounds of the most famous landmark in the Hebrides, Callanish Farmhouse is almost within the shadow of the Stones, the farmhouse has a long history of its own which only adds to the magic when you stay in this inviting and well equipped self catering cottage.
Callanish Visitor Centre is on the doorstep, if you want to eat out, or fancy some home made baking, specialty tea, or coffee before heading out on your days exploring. The Farmhouse is ideally situated, not only close to the Stones, but you can access Lewis and Harris, Great Bernera and all the islands have to offer from 'home' it's all within driving distance. If you don't have a car, we are on the local bus route, or there are bike hire and car hire firms to take advantage off.
There's lots to do and something for everyone. Golf, Fishing, Wildlife, Walking, Birdwatching, Water Sports, Sea Safari's, Archeological Tours, in the summer there are festivals and fun days for all the family to enjoy. Visit some of our Art Galleries, Museums, or just sit on an empty beach and let the world spin around you.
