On Scotland's most dangerous reef
Built between 1838 and 1844, the Skerryvore Lighthouse is Scotland's tallest - and it protects ships from Britain's most dangerous rocks, the Skerryvore reef. The shore station at Hynish on Tiree is now a museum, detailing the history of its construction on such a remote rocky outcrop 12 miles off the coast.
Open: 1 May 2015 - 30 Sept 2015
