Here you will be followed by inquistive seals as you explore the natural arches and fascinating rockpools. Otters, hares, corncrakes and hen harriers are all to be seen around Rockvale.
About Rockvale Guest House
Rockvale has been in local fisherman Neil MacPhail's family for the last three generations. The croft came to the MacPhail family after the First World War when the crofts of Balephetrish were allotted to returning servicemen on the Club System. At this time the crofts were all given names, Parkhouse, Hillview, Hillcrest and Rockvale to name a few. The surrounding croft is now rented out to a local crofter and used for beef cattle.
The Guest House is run by Alison and her team. Neil works off the coast of Tiree in a creel boat fishing for brown crab, velvet crab and lobster.
We hope that our combination of local knowledge and hospitality experience will help to make sure your stay on Tiree meets all of your expectations ... and exceeds them!
We can offer a variety of accommodation options, ranging from single occupancy through to rooms for families with young children.
All five en suite guest rooms have been individually designed using high quality furnishings and fittings. Each room has a flat screen TV/DVD player, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, refreshment tray with homemade baking, Egyptian cotton bed linen, thermostatic controlled central heating in room and free wireless broadband access is available.
Our breakfast room and conservatory/lounge are solely for guest use and can be accessed 24 hours. In our conservatory you will find a large selection of games, puzzles, books and local information. We also have a small tuck shop selling soft drinks, crisps and sweets. There is a fridge available for you to chill your own drinks or food.
