Applications are invited for the position of Stock Verification Team Member (6 months fixed term), within the Asset Management Department.

You will report to the Stock Verification & Management Project Manager in order to assist with the project to validate stocks, carry out full stock counts, update date in the stock management system and implement and roll out QR coding across the business.

This project will also establish the condition of stocks and identify those that have become obsolete and no longer fit for purpose.

Principal accountabilities 

• Ensuring electronic stock inventory is correct and records  

• Roll out QR Coding across the fleet

• Identifying and cataloguing spares appropriately and identifying gaps in the electronic stock system

(CPS) records in conjunction with vessel staff and Team lead

• Identifying and recording old, obsolete, damaged and redundant stock

• Ensuring the required safety standards are managed and that appropriate safety equipment is used.

• Maintain electronic system in accordance with Stock count

• Report any issues / problems to Team Leader

Qualifications, skills and experience 

• Previous experience within an engineering environment preferable

• Experience of stock control, particularly with respect to categorising and cataloguing

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, as well as problem solving

• A flexible attitude to working practices

• PC literate and familiar with Microsoft applications at least a foundation level

• Multi skilled across a variety of channels

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment

• Outstanding knowledge of the network services; including routes, islands, timetables and pricing
